About Us
RECYCL’AFRICA is a social enterprise and registered since 2018 in Rwanda. RECYCL’AFRICA promotes circular economy practices and reduces negative environmental impact for communities and businesses in Africa. Our mission is to solve the environmental problems for promoting the wellbeing of population served and RECYCL’AFRICA envisions to be a referral provider of environmental services in Africa.
RECYCL’AFRICA main activities are focused on the Waste Management, Biodiversity Protection, and Environmental Consulting.
We are dedicated to the valorization of waste by recycling them into new products, while also returning long-term benefits to communities and the environment.
We receive waste from Musanze City, Rwanda and recycle them in organic fertilizer. We are mainly recycling organic solid waste into organic fertilizer which is used by farmers as soil enhancer. From our beginning we have collected around 30,000 tons of all waste.
At our Busogo Waste Treatment Centre in Musanze, we sort and compost the organic solid waste. Other wastes such as plastics, papers, textiles, metals are stocked separately and sold to other companies.
Our main product, organic fertilizer, responds to the farmers’ needs. This organic fertilizer has many advantages if is used with traditional chemical fertilizers. It releases nutrients over a long period of time, on average two to three months.
We are growing our business and want to be a reliable source of compost supply to our customers (farmers). We want to be able to meet the demand. By the inherent nature of the business, solid waste will always be available for recycling in large, dependable quantities, at one or more locations, at a constant/stable quality. At this point, it is where we need partnership with different organization in order to help the farmers to get more compost for doing a sustainable agriculture and preserve the soil health for the future generation and reduce the waste which could be dumped in the landfills.
