Our business project is to sustainably conserve melliferous plants (honey plants) for beekeeping and honey processing, hence increase high quality and natural honey production.
Honey plants are becoming endangered species which is resulting in the scarcity to people, entrepreneurs and investors who are willing to invest in beekeeping, and this applies to beekeepers who want to expand this farming activities as well. It is therefore very essential to conserve these species that are becoming endangered through identifying, domesticating and setting up many honey plants nurseries in different parts of the country. This initiative will facilitate beekeepers and other people who want to do this business to easily access the seeds.
In this regards, we have a business project that preserve the biodiversity and create income generation through the wise use of biodiversity wealth. This earning will come from the products produced from protection effort made. We want to start this project with the beekeeper’s cooperatives and move forward to honey processing by increasing quality production that will meet not only local communities but also international market expectation.
